Fish Farms
Fish Farms
Fish farming, commonly referred to as aquaculture, is the activity of breeding fish for commercial or recreational purposes in regulated habitats such ponds, tanks, or ocean cages. Fish farming can be done for a number of reasons, including stocking fishing waterways, providing food for humans, and for ornamental purposes. Salmon, trout, tilapia, catfish, and shrimp are just a few of the many fish species that may be cultivated in freshwater or saltwater habitats for fish farming. Using a range of methods, including feeding, water management, and disease control, fish farming entails breeding, hatching, and rearing fish to marketable sizes.
